The name ‘Spectra’ in a nutshell
A spectrum is a band of colors, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction. The extraction of various colours from a single light source is a symbolic representation of the multiple streams of opportunities our students have. Spectra, the plural of spectrums, represent our goal to expand the potential of our students. We want to provide a platform to help every student shine to their brightest capacity.
Belief in achieving our goals and aspirationsThe logo is contemporary and modern in design with bold colours and strong dynamic lines, reflecting our collective belief in achieving our goals and aspirations.
Different pathways towards leading a fulfilling life
The radiating lines (with progressively darkening hues outwards) reflect the school’s recognition that each student is unique and will offer the students different learning experiences towards maximising and realising their inherent potential, ultimately preparing them towards leading a fulfilling life.
Spirit of unity (“Kampung Spirit”)
The angled lines converging towards the center depict a strong spirit of unity resembling the kampung or “village” spirit. It serves to remind the students that the school community will provide a safe, supportive and caring environment for their development.
‘Dusk purple’ is the colour of the darkest stage of twilight in the evening and serves as an ideal backdrop for light to shine at its brightest. The colour indicates that the school will function as platform to help all students shine to their brightest capacity.
Nurturing Pink & Ever Green
The ‘nurturing pink’ represents compassion, love and kindness while the ‘ever green’ colour represents a vibrant and positive attitude towards life. These are essential values and qualities which we hope all students will acquire and embody to lead a fulfilling life.
