Spectra Farmers Market
The Farmers Market run by S1-10, S1-7 and S1-9 on 23 May, 24 May and 27 May respectively, from 8.30am to 10am marks the ending of the Garden-based Service Learning (GBSL) CCE programme for Term 2. GBSL utilizes our Edible Learning Garden as a teaching tool cum external classroom to cultivate in students the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience while engaging and motivating them through direct experiences in the garden. Supported by a community of volunteers comprising Parents Support Group members and urban farming enthusiasts, students sell their self-grown vegetables and other edibles grown in the garden to staff, parents and the public. Sale proceeds go to support students receiving financial assistance.
